Last weekend I had the amazing opportunity to be part of Lick of Paint Festival 2025 in Sheffield. The festival brings together an incredible lineup of artists, transforming the city with colour, creativity, and energy.
After taking part in the mentorship programme with Grace Visions throughout August, I was selected to paint at the festival – a chance to scale up my work, experiment, and really push myself. The support and guidance from the Lick of Paint team has been invaluable, and being able to finally put brush (and spray can!) to wall in front of the buzzing Sheffield crowd was unreal.
The atmosphere across the festival was electric: live painting, music, workshops, and a community of people coming together to celebrate art in the city. It felt like Sheffield at its best – vibrant, inclusive, and full of good energy.
A massive thank you to the whole Lick of Paint crew for the mentorship and for curating such an inspiring festival. And of course, thank you to everyone who came down to watch, chat, and show support – it means everything.
I’m proud to have left my mark on the city and can’t wait to see how Lick of Paint continues to grow year after year.
